Your documents.
Your protection.
On your terms.
CloudDelta Backup gives compliance-sensitive organizations a complete document protection platform — automated capture, encrypted local storage, user access controls, audit trails, and on-demand recovery. Your documents, your infrastructure, fully under your governance.
What it does
A complete document protection platform
CloudDelta Backup handles the full governance lifecycle — scheduled capture, verification, encrypted storage, access controls, audit trails, reconciliation, and recovery — so your team stays focused on what matters.
Set it and forget it. CloudDelta runs on your schedule — daily, weekly, or custom — without any manual intervention required.
Documents are backed up in their original format — Word, Excel, PDF, video, and more — along with their Laserfiche template and field metadata. Folder structure is preserved exactly as it exists in Laserfiche. Note: version history is not included; CloudDelta backs up the current version of each document.
Find and recover any backed-up document using Laserfiche tags and field metadata — no manual file browsing required.
The Stats dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of your backup health — documents backed up, total storage used, throughput per run, average run duration, and a cloud comparison that shows how your local database stacks up against your live Laserfiche repository.
Credentials are encrypted at rest and never transmitted beyond your environment. Your authentication details stay on your infrastructure.
Receive automated email summaries after each backup run — documents processed, any errors, and a full run log attached.
Backed-up files can be encrypted locally on your own infrastructure, ensuring your records are protected at rest — completely within your control, with no data leaving your environment.
Accidentally deleted a document? CloudDelta lets you restore backed-up files directly back into your Laserfiche Cloud repository — quickly, without manual re-upload or data re-entry.
CloudDelta includes a built-in user authentication system with Admin and Read-Only roles. Administrators manage who can access the application and what they can do — without exposing Laserfiche credentials or backup configuration to every user.
Every document removal is recorded in a tamper-evident audit log, grouped by session, with CSV and PDF export. HMAC-validated entries ensure log integrity — giving your organization a defensible record for compliance and legal purposes.
CloudDelta's Reconciliation feature compares your local backup database against your live Laserfiche Cloud repository — showing which documents exist in the cloud but haven't been backed up, and which backed-up documents are no longer in Laserfiche.
For organizations using multi-factor authentication on their Laserfiche accounts, CloudDelta supports TOTP-based MFA — the same standard used by Google Authenticator. Automated backup runs authenticate silently without disabling MFA or requiring any Laserfiche configuration changes.
The File Integrity panel shows in real time whether every document recorded in the database is present on disk. If a file is missing for any reason, it is identified immediately — no waiting for the next backup run.
Why it matters
Organization-controlled records are part of responsible document governance
For compliance-sensitive organizations, maintaining an independent, organization-controlled copy of records — with access controls, audit trails, and verifiable integrity — isn't optional. It's governance.
- Regulatory compliance — meet records retention requirements with a locally-controlled copy that's always available.
- Litigation readiness — produce documents on demand, regardless of platform availability or subscription status.
- Disaster recovery — local backups mean uninterrupted access to critical records when you need them most.
- Native format preservation — your documents are backed up exactly as they exist in Laserfiche, in their original file formats.
- Access control & auditability — built-in user roles and tamper-evident audit logs ensure only authorized personnel can access backup operations, with a defensible record of every action.
An employee accidentally deletes a folder of contracts. Laserfiche's recycle bin auto-purge runs on schedule — and once those documents are purged, they are gone. A local backup means you can recover them regardless of what the recycle bin has already cleared.
Your organization needs to produce records for a legal matter. A cloud service disruption on the day of the deadline is not a valid excuse. CloudDelta keeps you ready.
